Residents from Signature HealthCARE of North Florida, in Graceville, and the Labrador puppies that are part of Auburn University’s Canine Detection Research Institute are both gaining from the visits the dogs make to the nursing home a few times each month.

Signature HealthCARE of North Florida was awarded the Patient Safety Award for 2008-2011 by FMQAI. This is recognition of the facility’s commitment to elder safety.
FMQAI is Florida’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization, which works to implement projects focused on improving the care provided to Medicare beneficiaries in Florida. FMQAI’s mission is to ensure the quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of health care services provided to Medicare beneficiaries.
